yelling into nothingness

Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads this or anything else I put out there. We have a fascination with sharing everything and waiting for others to comment or “like” or follow or subscribe etc. It feels like yelling into a void, constantly waiting for an echo.

And with the technology we have now, we can see when no one reads what we post. We get notifications 24/7 when someone “likes,” comments, follows, etc. We wait by our devices hoping to be noticed. But everyone is doing the same thing. Yelling waiting for an echo. How can we hear echoes if everyone keeps yelling?

This came to me as I was snapchatting and realized that no matter how much I add to my story (it is public), none of them are seen. Here is a mix of what you are missing not following me (amandatheg):
